Organisational consultancy can range from working with individual employees in a coaching format to running reflective practice groups, action learning sets, cross functional team workshops and consultancy to public and private sector organisations e.g. GP Practices, Charities etc, including strategy planning, role consultancy and leadership development.
I utilise creative interventions together with standard techniques to derive insight and surface tacit knowledge which is then woven into responses to individual and organisational challenges. A systematic approach coupled with an understanding of the conscious and unconscious reactions that emerge allows for trust and reflective thinking to develop. A theoretically integrative approach which draws on systems theory, design thinking, psychodynamic/ psychoanalysis, neuroscience and management theories is complemented by continued clinical work which acts as an anchor to consultancy practice.
I am experienced in Career Development/Executive coaching with individuals in both the public and private sector using specifically designed techniques for identifying, exploring and capturing experiences which impact on effectiveness and resilience.
I work for the University of Birmingham/NHS Leadership Academy as a senior lecturer for the Elizabeth Garrett Anderson MSc in Healthcare Leadership programme leading on personal development, group dynamics and reflective practice within my cohort.
